Let me just say this, they do not go together.

My bronchitis is ruining my half marathon training that I was suppose to start this past Sunday. Sure, I was starting with an easy run of 3 miles only to find myself dying on my first mile. I didn't stop though and ran the whole 3 miles, which came back to haunt me this week.

The parental unit is divided on it's advice on what I should do. My dad is all for me taking a break. My mom is take it easy you don't want to get worse and brings up this year's stress fracture.

My friends are telling me to stop, stop, stop.

Me. I'm struggling not to put on my shoes and hit the pavement.

Running is my solace and my pick me up after a bad day. And having this bronchitis has had me on the couch the past two weeks (I'm even finding yoga hard to do) and I'm wanting to take advantage of the great running weather.

Plus, I know I need to start training for my Jan. 24 half. Sigh.

My compromise. No running to Sunday and to listen to my body. If my lungs are screaming at a half-mile, I stop. No need to ruin my lungs and make myself worse.
