Sunday I plugged in my numbers to the Runner's World Smart Coach and within 5 minutes. I had a new 6 week running schedule. Total weekly mileage between 20-25.

And today was the first start. A four mile. Pretty simple. Nothing too long. Done in less than hour.

And it felt good to tie on my Brooks and hit the pavement. I have to say.

Sure there was a chill from the wind, but I hit my stride pretty quickly and didn't struggle with anything. And the run finished before I thought it would.

Thursday a five-miler, Friday a four, and Sunday an eight. My life is back into numbers by these runs. I think of days not in work days, but in the number of miles I run.

But that's the life of a runner.
