I must say, I've been loving the weather. LOVING. Nothing like hitting the trail in shorts and a tank top.
Of course, I'm all smiles until I hit the 20 mph wind that seems to just blow me backwards, off the street and into the middle of cars (actually the last part is just a HUGE fear I have, especially on the bridge along Airline Road).
But I always keep swinging my arms, curse the wind and keep my feet moving.
Spring in Texas means wind. It means fighting it, running into and cursing it. You're happy when it pushes you along, but when you turn around it's nothing but frowns.
And lately it's been pushing me going south on the hike and bike trail, which I hate because it's the return trip. And it goes against anyone's advice.
Run against the wind in the beginning, run with the wind at the end. Well, if I did that I'd never get home!
So I guess, I'll just keep on fighting it. Nothing else I can really do about it unless I want to end up in Kansas.
