Astronomy Day 2008 By dtewes in Sky Watch October 9, 2008

   The George Observatory at Brazos Bend State Park southwest Houston will have its annual astronomy day on Saturday, Oct. 18.
   This year’s featured speaker will be comet hunter David Levy.
   Other activities include face painting, comet making, astronomy clubs, NASA exhibits, T-shirts, indoor and outdoor presentations, telescopes, and food and beverages.
   One visitor will be selected to win a Meade backpack telescope.
