Did anyone get up early enough this morning to see the South Texas snow, also known as frost?
I could see it even before the sun rose, thanks to that very bright moon.
The National Weather Service was predicting a low this morning of about 30 degrees. I think they blew that one.
The temperature dropped to 25 degrees at the Victoria Regional Airport, which is where the weather service records the official temperature. I had 26 degrees at my house at 6:30 and it could have dropped another degree or so after that.
Get ready for another freeze Tuesday. They’re forecasting a low of about 30 degrees.
Anyone else have a temperature report from this morning?

Thanks for the weather/sky watch info. Up here in Lavaca County at 8:00 a.m., we had plenty frost in the pastures, and my car thermometer showed 28 degrees. I know the weather man out of San Antonio didn't expect this either.
January 12, 2009 at 12:06 p.m.Yeah, I was up in time to see the frost [and the moon], but way earlier than 630. Thanks Sandman for bringing my kiddo yet another nightmare and ruining her sleep and mine.
January 12, 2009 at 11:43 a.m.Hub saw the frost, woke me up to say so, and we both saw the moon. Thanks,
