I’ll have to keep an eye on the sky today as the sun sets.
Spaceweather.com notes that people have been reporting unusual sunsets, possible the result of the June 12 eruption of Russia's Sarychev Peak volcano.
The eruption sent plumes of sulfur dioxide and other debris into the atmosphere, which spread to the United States and Europe.
The result has been delicate ripples of white over the western horizon. Then, as the twilight deepens, the sky turns a shade of lavender.
Has anyone in the Crossroads area noticed the unusual sunsets?
Comments
I wonder if the eruption will create any cooling affect. I know that major eruptions in the pass have done this.
