Fragments from the Russian Cosmos satellite that collided with an Iridium satellite on Feb. 10 will begin reentering the atmosphere Thursday.
Those fragments will be followed by others on March 28 and March 30, according to spaceweather.com.
The good news is they will be so small they won’t pose a hazard to people on the ground. They could pose a slightly increased risk to the International Space Station and Space Shuttle STS-119.
