Here’s an update to the tropical weather forecast I blogged about Monday morning.
The National Hurricane Center reports that an area of disturbed weather has formed over eastern Cuba and the southeastern Bahamas.
Slow development of this system is possible during the next day or two as it moves northward. There is a less than 30-percent chance the disturbance will become a tropical cyclone within the next 48 hours.
About half of the major computer models take the storm into the Florida east coast and half into the open Atlantic.

Do hope this is not sign of the season to come. We need a peaceful year.
