I think you missed my point. It doesn't matter if global warming is true or not, we are still going to have to start controlling what pollutants are allowed to be pumped into the air, one way or another, because dirty, toxic, air is gonna kill us if we don't.
So call it golbal warming control, or air control. It'll all the the same in the end.

Suzy...I agree with you about the bad air. But your getting sick from breathing pollutants is a far different thing than global warming, which is what BO and his minions in Washington are trying to foist on us.

Is there an invisible wall around the US, keeping all the toxins out of our airspace? Bad air is global. I get sick as a dog when the wind currents bring air up here from Mexico.

Even without all those tons of "poisonous crap" in the air, the last ice age ended with global warming. The glaciers melted and the sea level rose. Sounds familier, doesn't it?

I won't argue about the quality of the air. It's not good, but at least in the US, it's getting better and has for the last twenty years or so.

If nothing else, it is killing our ability to breath clean air. It is changing the way plants grow. I guess a major part ot the earth's population dying from breathing problems is just not that big of a deal?
It may or may not be causing global warming, but it is damned sure causing unbreathable air.

Perhaps, but is it man-made global warming? The scientists (& Al Gore) have done all they can to discount or outright blacklist the concept of solar activity being a major source of warming trends. Then there's the avoidance of the historical data that warming and increased CO2 (plant food) levels have been better for life on Earth.

Bottom line: the climate is being used to lay the groundwork for a global system of control & taxation. This latest scandal won't do much to stop the momentum and religious fervor.

Now, this doesn't mean the environment isn't worth protecting, but you have to be skeptical of govt "solutions", especially when that govt is made up of unelected elitist bureaucrats (UN, WTO). We have to focus on real conservation of resources & energy and decreasing truly toxic emissions, but we have to allow time for sustainable & economically-feasible solutions.

11,500 years ago.The Younger Dryas ended as suddenly at it began, with temperatures jumping 7° C. Since then, the Earth continued warming up until about 6 thousand years ago - the mid-Holocene thermal maximum. The earth was about 1° or 2° Celsius warmer than today ( Warmer than today??). Since then, it's basically been cooling off - not counting various smaller variations.(Warmer than today,I guess it was errr, human activity, but didn't they say in 2006 it was warmer than in a million years?)

You present an opportunity to point out at least part of the problem, stop feeling, and start thinking.

I feel global warming is true...it's just they are trying to bank off its "possibllites." Just like they bank off everything else in this world. The POOR/WEAK being at #1! This is what we need to focus on...not global warming. But, that's not what they want you to see or believe. It's all in their big scheme of things.

The liberals are not content with controlling what we say and attempting to control what we think. The Cap and Tax legislation passed by the house makes Obamacare a piker when it comes to controlling the economy. It is nothing less than a back door attempt to control ALL of the economy that Obamacare does not control. It gives the government the power to say who can generate any form of energy, what means they can use to generate it, how it must be distributed and, by extension, how much may be charged for it. This is an attempt to convert this country to Socialism through covert means. It seems that Saul Alinsky's legacy lives on.
