After 12 months playing in the sand box our #2 son Army Captain is taking step by step on the way home, hopefully. He has spent the last months at a Iraqi Army post working with them. Arrived back at his FOB. He has left his FOB, Forward Operating Base, and is now in Balad. It is a large air base and a waiting area for flights in and out. He could be there a week and then to Kuwait for flight out.
We are leaving Thursday to his US base and hopefully timing it right with his suppose schedule window the Army gave him. Timing travel things on the Army's schedule can be tricky. Especially with a 13 hour flight time from here. So hopefully will have pictures of his Brigade's return next around the weekend.
