Thanks for advice LocalGirl! The doctor did say there is a generic, but that it might not be much cheaper. He also gave me a free month's supply of Nexium so I can see if it works.
As for the gallbladder, that was my mother's first suggestion when I told her I went back to the doctor - we have a family history of trouble in that area. Although he did not raise any flags about it, I think on my follow up visit in a month I will certainly be more knowledgeable about it and ask questions.
I am sure that you have been tested, but I will ask anyway. Have gallbladder problems been ruled out for your condition?
Is there an generic form that could work as well as Nexium? A little research could give you that information, I'm sure. I know that many drugs don't have generics and they are the best for you. Just check for yourself.
I am glad that you can have gluten again, but reintroduce gluten slowly, because if you have been without it for a while, be careful.
