I'm sure you have noticed some changes to the site.

The first change is to the navigation.

Now when you hover over a section, say Entertainment, the sub navigation will change based on the section. Now you can see every menu item without leaving the home page.

Big changes to the navigation include:

The Business section will now be listed under News.

Blogs will be listed under Opinion.

The "sign in" link will be at the top of the page in the left-hand corner.

Instead of having a home section, you can click on the Victoria Advocate logo to reach the home page.

My favorite part is once you sign in, there is an arrow next to your username in the top left hand corner you can click on. This shows a drop down menu with a list of options.

Now you can have quick and easy access to your blogs, comments, privacy settings and alerts.

Some things we have added are a featured items list and individual blocks for all the sections in our menu. Take a look at the additions.

Now you can go to the home page and skim through what the latest stories and media content is in each section.

Our new video player allows you to watch videos in the player without leaving the page.

The idea behind these changes is to give readers more access to all of our content.

If you have trouble finding things or just have some general comments and questions, let me know! We love to hear from you.

  • We do have a latest comment section. It is in the comments block between blogs and entertainment. There was a hiccup and it is being populated now but that is where you will see all the latest comments.

Ours and Yours blogs are separate. You may have seen a blog from Mrs. Jeffers regarding the news site show up in Yours but that is because she hadn't been added to the staff blog list.

Thanks you for your feedback and patience.
