Many Different Hats to Wear Posted on September 1, 2010 by admin

Let’s “begin” at the “beginning”. After working most of my adult life and then came the time of slowly down by retiring, I came to realize after some time that I actually was “wearing many different hats”.

There was the “first hat” of working in the public eye from what might be known as a “Nine to five” job and then coming home. When 5 O’clock arrived, everyone would make a dash out the door and I certainly wasn't an exception The race was on to get into the car and now face another world of “madness” called the city streets.

After driving home and fighting traffic, cars doing the same thing I was and lets not forget the railroad crossings. These trains seem to sense the exact time I was to make these crossing and down would come the “crossing bars” to further test my patiences.

When finally I was able to turn into my driveway, the “second hat” of now turning into becoming a “galloping gourmet chief” would arise. The GGC now would tackle cooking meals from (what is these days known as “homemade”) scratch.

“Hat#3″ was lucky enough to now get my turn at becoming the “maid service”. People use to ask me if I had a maid….and my reply was…” SURE, SHE PUTS THE KEY INTO THE DOOR AT THE SAME TIME I DO”. hoping to see the “look” on their faces after my comment.

Now this bring me to another "hat...which I will address as "hat#4....Hat#4 certainly is a "tough" one as it actually can mean being a "Nagger" as some men like to address the issue. This is why I decided to try my hand at a project called "Men Grow Up To Be Little Boys" which actually has it own website. I would love for women to "contribute" their input and lets all "maybe" enjoy a clean laugh or two.
