I very much looked forward to seeing this movie. I am happy to say that I was not disappointed at all. In the first of the movie I started to have the feeling that the movie was going to be slow. I was glad to be wrong. In The Monuments Men, George Clooney and Matt Damon team up again (Ocean's 11, 12, &13). They make a good pair. The rest of the team members are played by Bill Murray, John Goodman, Bob Balaban, Hugh Bonneville, Jean Dujardin, and Dimitri Leonidas. They help to tell the true story of The Monuments Men, Frank Stokes, James Granger, Richard Campbell, Walter Garfield, Preston Savitz, Donald Jeffries, Jean Claude Clermont, and Sam Epstein. Another important role portrayed in the movie is that of Claire Simone, played by Cate Blanchett. They were a group who, during World War II, went to search, find, and return the works of art stolen by the Nazis. I found it to be a touching story that needed to be told. It is a story of laughter, tears, and bravery. I am grateful to every veteran and every soldier that stood and stands up to protect me and my fellow Americans. Movies such as The Monuments Men and, another favorite of mine The Band of Brothers, help to keep history alive. These are stories that must be told so that we do not forget the price that was paid for the freedoms that we enjoy.

I strongly recommed The Monuments Men and hope you enjoy it as much I did.

To all of our veterans and current men and woman of the military, thank you very much.
