Jared, instead of encouraging parents to have more kids, maybe encourage parents to encourage the kids they have to go to college & get a degree so they can live a productive fullfilling life. That would be the better answer, IMO.
Jared...It may be fun making kids, but it's also EXPENSIVE. "Every year, the U.S. Department of Agriculture tallies how much families spend on children and estimates the cost of raising them to college age. The latest report found that middle-class parents of a child born in 2010 could expect to spend more than a quarter of a million dollars in the child's first 18 years."
It's at least as much fun (if not more so because of the variey) to not make kids. And it won't set you back a quarter-million bucks. Remember, these figures do NOT include college costs. This is just to age 18.
The money you don't spend on another kid can go a long way toward funding your retirement. When you retire rich, you can afford to visit and spoil your grandkids. I'm told those are more fun than the kids anyway. :)
