So between soy beans, corn, sugar beets and canola, you've probably been eating plenty of genetically modified food for years. The question is, do you want or need to know about it?

In California, there has been a debate for a while about whether or not the presence of genetically engineered ingredients in food should be noted on the side of the box. NPR reports that the issue is about to be put to a vote this November.

If it gets voted in this could be the first step toward having whether or not something is genetically modified slapped on the back of boxes across the country. Which could be pretty interesting back-of-the-box reading, considering most corn, soy and foodstuffs of that ilk are genetically modified these days.
