I have just finished reading a series of books by Baruch Battlestein and David Stein. Both are the same man, and I had the pleasure of attending one of his prophesy conferences about a month ago where I purchased the books. Battlestein and his wife are Christian Jews currently living America and his books are just fascinating. He was forced to write under David Stein while living in Israel.
He doesn't seem to display any partisanship when it comes to America's foreign policy. In fact, he doesn't pull any punches. He tells it like it has been since 1948 and Israel returned from its ashes, and once again was recognized as a nation. He gives an in depth analysis of why America is currently going through its financial crises.
I have studied prophesy for about 35 years, and I was very excited to see the Jewish perspective on my studies. I encourage anyone to read his books, but get your bible out while you do. I drew a time line for myself as I uncovered some parallels with previous studies. I have always known that America would not be a major player when Israel is attacked by its enemies, but I couldn't logically see it. Battlestein noted that 20+ years ago, the USSR fell without a shot being fired. I only pray that God will be so generous in judging our great nation.
I also believe that God knows the hearts of each and everyone of us, and if we are faithful to Him, He will be faithful to us. These books are quite interesting: Covenant by Baruch Battlestein and Isreal, God and America by David Stein. There are 2 others but I have already given them away and can't remember the titles. I compared this set of books to Jerusalem Countdown by John Hagee. Sometimes, an eye opening perspective is needed when dealing with crises.
