As I sit in the glorious, cool state of Washington, it is hard to accept the fact that my country is in a state of total government confusion. However, it is possible that I am in this state of dementia. It wasn't too long ago, I recall, government (your representatives and mine) gave the go ahead on bank deregulation. Before or after (can't recall) Chrysler was bailed, and I think Ford and Chevrolet are soon to follow.
What has happened to supply and demand driving the economy? I hate it that America no longer has the gold standard and is dependent on the petrodollar at this era in our economy. I really hate seeing the big guys manipulate the system. It is almost like a giant, selling short. Gates, now Buffet. I wish I understood micro and macro finance.
What spins are going to be thrown at the unsuspecting public? I personally can't afford another tax increase. Is the latest bailout just another manipulation of the real powers that be?
