Hub likes his new job of one year, but every once in a while the stress gets to him, and I always know when that happens. The man actually watches and gripes about TV commercials, but there is always one that catches his eyes. When the commercial first came on, he would say stuff like "there we are. I can just see you in that side car." I would laugh and tell he would get the side car, and I would do the driving.

Now, AT&T has a side car commercial for its smaller laptop. Hub repeated his comment with "and you could blog the whole time. We could head north through Canada and then to Alaska. We could camp the whole time." I responded "and I could call it, On the Road Again with Richard."

Now, folks our idea of camping in tents has evolved over the years and we have the travel trailer to prove it. I asked him where we would put the tent. I told him that if he retires early, which he probably will, that we will just become gypsies. I am not too sure about the side car, but a convertible and hotels could satisfy our longings. We traveled so much with the kids when they were young. I am sure that Hub thought the youngest son would stay close to home and become his hunting partner. Life, love, and change happens.

For now, we will leave for NC and help with the grands while my DIL recovers from surgery and the beginning of radiation treatments. Hub can handle anything the job throws at him, but when it comes to his loved ones, it takes a toll. We are taking 3 days for a 2 day trip and taking the scenic route north and then east. Fine with me. I imagine that we will stop at a motorcycle shop or two, but just look. Hub is going into emotional territory, and he will need an outlet, even if it is only an imaginary one.
