Daughter-in-law talked with her oncologist and got a better report on the diagnosis of her cancer-it is still in stage one. She will have a PET scan next week, and we will know a lot more. We both wonder why it wasn't done today, but I recall the process when one of my friend's husband was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. We were all counting minutes until the treatments started, and there were several very long weeks of tests involved before it all began. I pray for patience once again. My kids are taking it all in stride, and that is OK because I worry enough for all of us. I praise God that the cancer is at stage 1, not stage 2.

Crosby daughter-in-law called and needs relief tomorrow. I will get to play with Blondie while she cleans house. I think a cleaning service for 6 months will be on their Christmas list this year. Looking forward to tomorrow.

I may buzz down to my mom's this week also. I really need to check and see if she is walking OK from the last fall. I try to get what I can done when time allows it. This gives me another week to take care of other responsibilities I have just plain ignored.

Mia dog was getting to be a problem, so I took her for her annual check-up. It turns out she had two ear infections and a skin condition that is easily treatable. She is about to finish her ten days of antibiotics, and gets bathed twice a week until her skin clears up. I thought I was through raising kids! I called my son and told him hub wants to send him the bill. He reminded me of the time I was the contact person when they went to Hawaii. The vet was worried because she was losing weight, could they run some tests. I gave them some info on her, but agreed to let the test be run. $600+ later, my son said that next time I was to authorize putting her down. He laughed and said that turn about is fair play. Kidding aside, the dog is so much more normal acting now. She doesn't shake her head constantly due to the ears, her coat is shiny, and she doesn't let out this high pitched squeal anymore. She doesn't seem as needy.

I guess dogs are like people, when they feel good they act better. Oh yes, she doesn't have any cataracts either. She's ahead of me on that one.
