One of the most intriguing teams in the NBA this season is the Boston Celtics. Yes that's right, there's actually hope this season in Boston. The Celtics finished with the second worst record in the league last season, but made trades this summer to add big names to the lineup.
The most coveted player out there is now a Celtic as Kevin Garnett finally got his wish and is away from Minnesota. Garnett is entering his 12th season in the league, and is still one of the top talents. The only question is whether he can win the big game. When you're stuck on teams with Stephon Marbury and Wally Szczerbiak as your running mates, winning isn't that easy.
This year he'll have Ray Allen and Paul Pierce as his sidekicks. Allen made the cross-country move from Seattle, while Pierce is has been in Boston since playing at Kansas in college. All three players have led their teams in scoring the past six season, making some question if all three can remain happy while sharing roles.
As is the case in most situation, if the Celtics win, they'll be happy. A couple early losses when the season starts, and it's quite possible that we'll see familiar tears from the eyes of Pierce. They'll also have to worry about the other two starters, as center Kendrick Perkins and guard Rajon Rondo don't exactly strike fear into other teams.

It's hard to start hyping these guys before they even take the floor. We still don't know how these three will interact on the court. Talent without chemistry will only get you so far, just ask the Kobe/Shaq/Malone/Payton Lakers. But the Celtics do play in the East, which gives them a good chance of going at least a round deep in the playoffs.
