Hughes scores again and the VIpers now lead 38-28 with 2:38 left in the game.

O.J. Hughes caps a 31-yard drive with a 1-yard touchdown and the Vipers now lead 31-28 with under a minute left in the third quarter.

Hornets march right back and score on an 11 yard run from quarterback Corey Johnson.

East Central up 28-24 and kicking off.

Mark Rojas boots his first field goal of the season and the Vipers take a 24-21 lead midway through the third quarter.

Rojas connected from 25 yard out to give Memorial its second lead of the game.

Quinton Porter takes the second half kickoff back 90 yards to tie the game at 21-all after a longer than usual halftime.

Porter now has two touchdowns in this playoff-deciding game.

Chris Johson scores on a 4th-and-2 play to give East Central a 21-14 lead with 19 seconds left in the first half.

O.J. Hughes scores from 3 yards out and the game is now tied at 14-all.

 

East Central's Chris Johnson takes it in from 21 yards out to give the Hornets the lead back. EC converts on a 2-point conversion and leads 14-7 early in the second.

Vipers back with the ball at the 35-yardline.

Quinton Porter gets the Vipers on the board with an 11-yard touchdown run. Mark Rojas' extra point makes it a 7-6 lead for Memorial with 11:52 remaining in the second quarter.

Vipers miss a field goal and watch East Central march 80 yards for a touchdown. Hornets lead 6-0 after the extra point hits off goal post.

East Central will receive the opening kickoff here at Memorial Stadium.

If you don't know by now, the winner of this one gets fourth place in District 27-5A while the loser starts to prepare for next year.
