Sandcrabs' comeback and season comes to an end with a 31-30 loss to the Hawks.

Joey Calzada interception gives Calhoun the ball back, but the Sandcrabs go 3 and out and punt.

Hendrickson with the ball at the Calhoun 30 with 2:27 remaining.

Good news, bad news for Calhoun.

Archangel scores a 10-yard touchdown, but the extra point is missed.

Heading into the fourth quarter -  Hendrickson 31, Calhoun 24

We've got a game my friends.

Archangel goes 69 yards down the sideline on a 3rd down and 5 play for a touchdown.

Archangel sparks Calhoun with a 51-yard run and Sterling Jones caps a scoring drive with a 6-yard TD run.

Score: Hendrickson 31, Calhoun 17

Hawks fumble into the endzone, fall on the ball and score. New score 31-10 in favor of Hendrickson.

Two quick scores here.

Hawks strike first, but Archangel takes back the kickoff 90 yards for Calhoun for a touchdown.

Estaban Martinez nails a 47-yard field goal as the first half came to an end and the Sandcrabs are on the board.

Still, Hendrickson leads 17-3 at halftime with the Sandcrabs commiting four turnovers. Three fumbles and one interception have put Calhoun in the hole.

Calhoun fumbles again. This time it goes out of bounds and they kept possession.

The only damage was 36 negative yards and then a punt. Hendrickson back with the ball as the first half is winding down.

James Ezzell throws up a duck and Tason Robinson intercepts the pass for the Hawks. Hendrickson fumbles on the first play though and Calhoun has the ball at the 50.

Calhoun misses a field goal and the Hawks strike quickly.

Kenny WIlliams takes it 76 yards to inside the 5 and three plays later Dunn scores from 2 yards out. Hawks up 17-0 with 5:23 left in the second quarter.

Make it three in a row. Calhoun fumbles again and the Hawks capatalize this time.

Marqueze Dunn takes it in from the 5 and Hendrickson is up 10-0 early in the second quarter.

A punt goes horribly wrong for the Hawks when the snapper shoots the ball over the punter's head.

Two possesions, two fumbles for Calhoun.

Hawks back with the ball after Sandcrabs had mounted a nice looking drive.

Dennis Pezzaro boots a 37-yard field goal and the Hawks are out to a 3-0 lead.

Archangel  fumbles on Calhoun's first possession and the Hawks have the ball inside the 30.

Well, Calhoun fans, you're getting the ball first.

Hendrickson won the coin flip, but defered until the second half. The fans are on their feet for the national anthem and we are moments away here.

Some girl in front of the press box keeps holding up a sign that reads, "Bow down to the Sandcrabs". Since I'm the only one in the area of where she's holding the sign, I can only think that she is showing me the sign.

I'm not sure whether to applaud her enthusiasm or be creeped out a little bit. Right now, I'm leaning towards being creeped out.

The entire Sandcrab team is on the Alamodome turf going through stretches. Calhoun is in all black, while Hendrickson is wearing dark blue pants, white jerseys and silver helmets.

Calhoun County is well respresented here, and with every move the players make the stands has errupted in cheers. Hendrickson, which is right down Interstate 35 hasn't drawn the same crowd as Calhoun.

Still 35 minutes until kickoff.

Calhoun is in the locker room here in the Alamodome dreaming that its day goes as well as Austin Westlake's is going.

The Chap are rolling over Harlingen with the score 49-23 late in the fourth quarter.

The Sandcrabs (9-1) are set to take on Pflugerville Hendrickson in about an hour and a half here. Hendrickson (9-3) has put the clamps down on its opponents so far in the playoffs, but the Sandcrabs have been pretty much unstoppable.

Only time will tell, and I'm watching the clock here in San Antonio.
