UHV sweeps Texas College

The UHV Jaguars completed a doubleheader sweep of Texas College with a 21-0 win in the final game.

The Jaguars (2-0) pounded out 25 hits in the win, while Lauren Garza earned the win and recorded 12 strikeouts.

Lindsey Ferguson has three RBI and the Jags are right back at it with an 8-0 lead after two innings in the second game against Texas Collge.

Lauren Garza has struck out four Steers through two.

The UHV Jaguars breezed to an 18-0 win over Texas College in the first game of a doubleheader today at Burdge Field.

Brittany Faas went 2-for-3 with 3 RBI, while Stephanie Lavey and Izzy Glowney each had three hits.

Tasha Rotramel went two innings, striking out three and not allowing a hit or base runner. Kristen Lindley came in for three innings of work and picked up two strikeouts.

That didn't take long.

The UHV Jaguars lead 14-0 after the first inning at Burdge Field over Texas College.

The Jags had 8 hits in the inning, including a two-run inside the park home run off the bat of Brittany Faas.

First-year Jaguar Tasha Rotramel is getting the start in the pitcher's circle for UHV against Texas College today.

Rotramel went 1-1 at the Galveston College Invitational, picking up a win in relief against Galveston College before losing 5-0 against Alvin College in a start.

The University of Houston-Victoria home opener will be delayed at least 30 minutes because Texas College experienced mechanical issues with their bus on its way from Tyler.
