Industrial, Edna closing in on Erwin Center

The Industrial Lady Cobras and Edna Cowgirls are only two wins away from making an appearance at the state tournament next week in Austin.

The Lady Cobras are at the Region IV-2A tournament being played at Seguin High this weekend, while Edna is at the Region IV-3A tournament in Corpus Christi.

Industrial faces Salado at 8 p.m. on Friday. The winner of that game plays at noon on Saturday against the winner of the Weimar-Hitchcock game.

Edna goes up against West Oso at 8 p.m. on Friday at Ray High in Corpus Christi. With a win, the Cowgirls advance the region's finals. There, they would meet either Brookshire-Royal or  Hildalgo at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the American Bank Center.
