Jags take Game 1 over Houston Baptist

Tasha Rotramel threw a complete game and led the UHV Jaguars to a 4-1 win in the first game of a doubleheader against Houston Baptist University.

Stephanie Lavey highlighted the Jags' offense with a solo home run in the second inning to stake UHV to its first lead. Cirby Ryan, Brittany Faas and Lindsey Ferguson also had an RBI for the Jags.

Game 2 should start right on time at 7 p.m. UHV is now 8-2 while the Huskies fall to 6-7.
