I'm really jealous of Chuck Grafe right now.

Working at the Hallettsville newspaper, Grafe got to enjoy watching the Brahmas all season. I witnessed one game, and wish I had seen more.

The Brahmas were very impressive on Wednesday, despite losing 87-85 to the Jarrell Cougars. Dante Haynes scored 33, Christian Wood-Dvorak 21 and Camp Dozier 10. Those three are only sophomores and looked more than impressive.

Tanner Carson and Jeremy Gutierrez played strong in their final game and are the only two seniors on the team.

I would have to believe that as long as no one moves away, this team is going to be great for at least the next two seasons.

I just hope I'm lucky enough to see more of their journey.

  • I hope you get to see more as well. Our blood pressure starts rising the minute we walk into the gym because we know we are about to witness a quick paced excitement filled game. Glad you got to experience this team before our two seniors left! They are extremely fun and they did a great job. UBUNTU!
