Sorry, Dennis. I didn't realize I cruised over that topic so quickly in my post.
A CSA is a program, usually put together by a group of farmers or growers in an area, that works together to create an avenue for people to buy produce or meats from local resources. For instance, the magazine Edible Austin provides a list of growers that participate in a CSA program.
Each program is different in that they decide how often they provide members of the group with produce boxes. Once CSA in Albuquerque had a program where once a month, members of the CSA could pick up a box of seasonal fruit and vegetables grown on the farm. The fun part about it was that the box might include a variety of vegetables that buyer may not know how to cook. So I was hoping that I could find one around here.
Do you know of anything like that in the area, Dennis?
It would nice if you explained what a "CSA" was.
