Halfway through the second stage of PGA Tour qualifying school and several members of the the Tight Lies Tour may be feeling the pressure of advancing to the final stage.
Victoria's Richard Swift is currently tied for 32nd at The Woodlands Tournament Course following rounds of 73-72. No doubt he will have to cut a few strokes over the next two days to finish high enough to advance.
Three other TLT players will need to stay on course as they stand in good position at the halfway mark. Mark Walker is tied for third after posting a 69-72, Criag Lile is 13th with a 73-69 and Brad Weesner is tied for 14th with a 73-70.
A the TPC Craig Ranch course in McKinney, Matt Brost (73-71), Anthony rodriguez (71-73) and Jaxon Brigman (71-73) are among a group tied for 29th.
At the Hombrea Golf Club in Panama City Beach, Fla., Gary Christian is tied for 9th with a 65-76, while Chad Ginn is tied for 30th with a 72-73.
With each and every stroke counting heavily from here on out, it's no doubt these guy will be feeling the pressure with each step they take on the course.
That's the one thing about golf, no matter how good you are (unless you're Tiger) a spot int he big show is never a given, you have to EARN everything you get. It's you against the field and if you don't performance each and everytime out you're left on the outside looking in.
