Where to write

I remember working in a bookstore in Dallas, and on my lunch break going to the nearby cafe. I'd sit there, watch people go by and write in my notebook. I wrote several poems once waiting on a ride in the lobby of a motel in D.C.

Miss those days.

Now most often, writing (for pleasure) means sitting in front of a computer, in a cramped home office. Maybe I need to re-evaluate that.

    Sometimes I like to write sitting at my desk because I try to surround myself with inspiring images and things on the wall...but I also like to be outside sometimes...like at a park or something...it's nice to see different things and different people....
