Off topic this morning, but I can't let the death of baseball announcer Skip Caray pass without comment.
As a long-time Atlanta Braves fan (I grew up in Georgia), I listened to Skip broadcast many, many games. His knowledge of the game, combined with his sarcastic wit made listening a pleasure. If I could capture 1/10 of that in my writing, I'll be successful.
The son of Hall-of-Fame broadcaster Harry Caray, and the father of current broadcaster Chip Caray, Skip will forever remain one of my favorites.
So long Skip. Your scorecard is complete.

Sonny, I could not agree more. Although raised here in Texas, I am a long-time Braves fan [we're talking 20+ years]. I have long loved Skip and his very distinctive voice. I often marveled at how differently he sounded than his father and yet I loved them both. The Braves and more importantly, baseball, has truly lost one of its greats. RIP Skip. We'll miss you.
