There is so much more to writing a non-fiction  book (and a novel for that matter) than the actual writing of the book.

As I have tried to sell books in the past and as I continue to research the best way to achieve that goal, here are a few things I've learned along the way.

First of all, you will need to write a proposal. A proposal is a marketing tool. Agents and publishers (or their editors actually) have to weed through hundreds of projects and a good proposal lets them know that YOUR book is worth taking a look at. Your arguments on why this book should be published should be persuasive.

Next blog, I'll detail the parts of a good proposal.

Keep writing!
