Actually writing the proposal

A few weeks back I detailed what a non-fiction profile should include. The last few days I've actually had to write one as two agents have requested more information on my book.

It's a chore!

Not only do you have to do some research (sales of similar books, marketing and promotion ideas, etc.), you have to try and convince the agent why this book should be published, why this story needs to be told.

I'm getting there and hope to get it wrapped up this week and sent to those two agents. One I can send via e-mail, and would expect a quicker response. The other  requested a hard copy. Either way, it's exciting.
