Getting just a little excited

I know better than to get too up or too down when hearing from agents. I've had nibbles before that turned into nothing.

But, I've completed the proposal for my true crime book, complete with two sample chapters and will be sending them on their way to two agents who have expressed an interest...one today via e-mail and one by snail mail, probably Monday.

I have been so engrossed by this case for so long...the murders happened in January 1992...that I can't help but get a little excited thinking that maybe, just maybe, the story is finally going to be told.

Cross your fingers, your toes, your whatever, and if you know an appropriate good luck prayer, I'll take that, too.

If both agents decide it's not for them, I'll keep my head up and keep trying. It's a story that needs to be told. And it will.
