I groused a few weeks back about not being able to retrieve some files from an old computer because it has neither Internet software on it nor a USB port. Yes, I could take it to a "shop" and pay to have it done, but I am cheap!
Anyway, I've been forced to re-type manuscript pages instead of just the copying and pasting I was looking forward to. Now I'm glad I did.
Re-typing, in this case, also worked as a form of rewriting and I found several areas where the story could be improved or clarified and a couple of typos corrected, too.
When turning in manuscripts they should be as error free as possible, on clean, white typing/copier paper, and in 10 or 12 point type (sometimes an agent will even specify the type size and style).
Now, if I can just get these packages in the mail...LOL!
Keep writing!
