Buckle up!

Well, the roller coaster ride that is the book publishing industry is heading up again!

In response to a query letter, I got a response from an agent wanting to see a full proposal and sample chapters of my book.

Of course, having been down this road more than once (and rejected each time), I know not to get too excited, but there is something exhilarating about someone saying your project sounds interesting tell me more.

All prayers and crossed fingers are appreciated.

For those of you just catching up to my blog, I am writing a book on a triple homicide in East Texas that happened in 1992. Gerri Faye, Jessica and Mackenzie Butts, a mother and her two daughters, 11 and 2, were found murdered in their mobile home. The main suspect, Kevin Hailey, a one-time boyfriend of the woman, was No Billed by a grand jury, but 17 later arrested again and this time indicted based in part on new DNA evidence. His trial is set for September.
