There is some discussion on the forum here about people expressing their opinion about the guilt of Steve and Bettie Ramirez, who will be standing trial for murder in Feb. in connection with the starving and beating death of their adopted daughter Crystal Ramirez in Gonzales County.

In my opinion, and this is just that my opinion, posters have the right to express their views about the couple's guilt or innocence. Those views are merely opinions, and as long as they stay within the guidelines of the forum, are as acceptable as any other post.

Secondly, the guilt or innocence of the Ramirez couple will be determined by a jury in a Gonzales County courtroom, not on this website. I plan to continue to cover the story as it unfolds, relaying the facts of what transpires in the courtroom.

As the facts emerge and  testimony is given, we will all learn more what went on inside that home and why Crystal didn't live to see 9.
