I'm glad Garrett got the job. I think he'll be a good coach. I believe there are some players (defensive secondary comes to mind) who probably need to be worried about their jobs. I'm not sure, if I was in Garrett's shoes, I'd be wanting Dave Campo back as the secondary coach. Brett Maxie I think should be promoted to replace Campo. The Cowboys also need to be looking for a RELIABLE place kicker.
That being said, I hope there'll BE a season this fall.
I was happy to see Wade Phillips land on his feet as Defensive Coordinator for Houston. He's getting closer home. He came out of the firing at Dallas smelling like a rose. He'll be paid for his remaining time on his contract there and I'm sure he's not gonna be worrying about how to pay the bills with his pay from the Texans.
Is Jason Garrett the right man the job; only time will tell. Rumor has it that Marion Barber and Roy Williams will be shown the door.
He may have boyish looks but he instilled discipline by having them don pads in the middle of the week. His philosophy; you play like you practice... You can't expect to magically turn it on,Sunday afternoon.... The talent is there on offense; the defense is getting a little old and the secondary needs work... Aside from that, the Dallas in Cowboys will rebound in 2011.
Kris Brown will help in those close games where a field goal is needed.
