  • Face it the traffic has picked up from the south all points north. As more buses crowd the roads it only seems normal there will be a wreck. As for the trucks pulling a truck or a car. There have been groups for at least 15 years that go to the East Texas auctions, buy the autos and take them back to Mexico. Because they travel in caravans, I have marveled over the years that there have not been more wrecks.

    So this is just one of those things in the universe that happened. May never happen again between the two modes of operation.

    Now as for the buses themselves. They do not necessarily meet US standards --that is why there have been wrecks, such as the ones that burned to death the people from the nursing home in Houston when they were up near Dallas. There have been wrecks of this sort all over the US. Unless we change the laws that were political in nature and in favor of Mexico--wrecks will continue.

    I will say they have had investigators from time to time swarm the operators in Houston---but only have a huge tragic accident with the loss of many lives, not just one. Politics are cold.
