Victoria likes the allusion of concern about education. The folks in charge over at the White Palace,under the leadership of Bob Moore, have created a very beautiful package of clean, modern facilities. This pleases the city leaders who can point and say, "Look! Isn't this lovely? Our children learn here."
What is never mentioned is the poor performance of the schools, the very poorly structured and cumbersome discipline policy and how Moore's cronyism has not worked well for the district
I would love to see a real iron-fisted administrator come in, clean house from the top down, straighten out the teachers who need it, straighten out the students who need it, and really engage the parents in the value of an education. It could happen.
