Image Ok, this is really bothering me. Not the fact they are doing it but the website that goes with it. It will amaze you. Especially the last part under the donate button.."OUR TIME HAS COME"?

Washington, D.C. - Sept. 25, 2009 there will be a national prayer gathering of Muslims on the west front of the U.S. Capitol Building. They are expecting at least 50,000 to attend from mosques all across America. The gathering will take place by the site where U.S.. Presidents have been inaugurated since 1981. The organizers say Obama's inauguration speech in January and his speech broadcast from Egypt in June gave them the idea for this prayer gathering. They have a web site set up for this event.. If you never look at another web site look at this one, especially the final words at the very end of their web site: Below the "Donate".

  • I looked at the site. Left a bad taste in my mouth. We are America, founded on christian beliefs and now populated by many religions. Respect is one thing but asking for donations when you already have a money sharing system in place is kind of underhanded, backhanded, backwards,,,I could go on.
It's sad that we are in danger and still blindly staring into the headlights.
We keep repeating the mistakes of the past as well as mistakes other countries have made.
When an excercised freedom infringes upon any of our certain inalienable rights, then the people have the right to to defend themselve against that infringment.
We have to remain cautious not to step on their toes but at the same time we have to be ready to defend ourselves. I predict a clash of some sort will happen and there will be bloodshed.
Good post Bro. I'm listening and in your corner. Keep swinging!

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is joining with religious rights groups to defend Bible passages after officials at a Virginia jail allegedly cut biblical references out of a letter from a mother to her inmate son.

  • I wonder if the ACLU would file suit against this activity if it were Jewish, Christian, Buddhist, and etc., saying it is government support of religion?

  • If they have a permit for a public gathering, they have as much right to gather near the Capitol Building to pray as much any other religious group. Islam is not outlawed in the US.

  • Apparently you don't read so good Justin. I said it wasn't the meeting that bothers me, it's the website and what it says. Hooked on phonics might work for you.

  • They can pray in their homes and mosques, not on our capitol lawn. It's a dangerous situation and this'll be just the first of "bigger and better (for them)" things to come. You wait and see what comes of this major mistake especially with who is the big promoter of this fiasco. Leader of America, my honkey rearend.

  • Ok, it's not really the fact they are doing it that bothers me, this country was founded on the principle of religious freedom, but just what the website states is scary in it's self.

  • Oh great, I wonder if the White House has requested the presence of GLAD and all the other homosexual/lesbian groups as well...they did for Easter
