There are reasons I go to certain restraunts multiple times. Toscana was one of them and WAS is the operative word! The food is always delicious. The customer service use to be good. But after today they went from and 5 star to a 1 star in my book. I believe someone has gotten a bit cocky! Today was a day that proves that! Recieved the worst service today! Was even called a name! I walked into the restraunt at 11:50. I ordered my pizza instantly because I already knew what I wanted and I had limited time! But the computer was tied up with a waitress taking a order over the phone, who then turned the phone over to the chef. He talked for a longer amount of time. I am standing there waiting to order my pizza. Apparently the person on the phone could not make up their mind of what they wanted or the chef just liked seeing me just standing their being ignored. I finally ask if it was going to be much longer, if so I would go elsewhere. That is when the chef chimed in and said it takes a while to cook a pizza approx. 10 minutes. I said I was here for over 10 minutes already. Actually 15 minutes! I finally got my order in and was waiting for my order. The chef rudely yells out tell speedy Gonzales her pizza will be out in about 3 minutes! That is when I chimed in and informed them of my name and that it was not speedy Gonzales! That was rude! So basically a 10-15 minute pizza took 25-30 minutes and included insults as a side dish!

Loved the fancy Toscana before, loved the pizzas at the new Toscana, but . . . lunch, early September . . . no other customers, papers taped up on the door in lieu of shades, chipped plates, staff talked loudly on cell phones, and our pizza lacked that fresh herb spark . . . not sanguine about Toscana's future.
September 16, 2011 at 8 a.m.What I find funny is they have a facebook page and I gave them a review it disappeared so I re entered it. Lets see if they remove it again. Nothing like controlling your reviews and only keeping the 5 star ones. What a joke!
September 15, 2011 at 5:19 p.m.Never make the chef/cook angry BEFORE you recieve your order. There may be something extra on your food that you don't know about.

first time: It was busy so we ordered and waited. after about 40 minutes the cook / owner tells us our pizza will be out in 10 minutes. He comes back 15 minutes later and tells us he's out of pizza dough. That idiot let us sit there for an hour before telling us he was out of pizza dough. We had some words about the whole deal, mostly me talking and we left.
second time: I showed up after the order was placed and minutes before the pizza was served. It was easily the worst pizza I've ever had, beyond horrible. I took one bite and the onions and mushrooms may have been rotten, who knows. We refused to pay for the pizza and walked out.
I'll never go back and I'm always sure to pass along my thoughts about this dump every chance I get.
