I put a different twist on my green bean and potato recipe. This time I put a pound of green beans with five small red potatoes into a pan with a teaspoon of chopped garlic and a bit of rosemary, basil and black pepper.

Then I poured some water over it and set it on the 7 setting on the stovetop for 20 minutes with a lid over it. I flipped the potatoes over at 10 minutes so that they would cook evenly. I also added a handful of walnuts.

Once 20 minutes had passed, I drained the extra liquid and there it was! Garlic green beans and potatoes.

I told this recipe to a friend of mine and he rolled his eyes and said, "Alright, Rachel Ray." I think I'll take that as a compliment.

P.S. Picture of the day makes me giggle every time I look at it. I think Chester might be crazy enough to try that sometime.
