Longtime no see, Advocate readers. Recently, I took a vacation to the Colorado Rockies. It was a fun vacation, especially because my husband and I got to share a cabin with my parents and little brother. I came back with plenty of souvenirs, a T-shirt-shaped sunburn, some fishing stories and a new appreciation for Texas' long, straight, well-maintained highways. But now that I'm back, it's time to get down to business again.

Every Wednesday, our Editorial Board meets in the Internet Cafe area of the Victoria Advocate at 1:30 p.m. to discuss the events of the previous week. If you can't come to the meeting in person, feel free to log on and watch our live webcast and comment in the online chat box. We look forward to seeing you there.
