We are currently in a rain delay here in Decatur, Ala., but a little rain didn't stop our four seniors from graduating! Let me set the stage for you:

In the lobby/breakfast room of the Comfort Inn and Suites in front of an audience of 50 plus with standing room only, Master of Ceremonies Cirby Ryan gave the invocation for the 2009 UHV Jaguar Softball Graduation.

Dressed in Jaguar print blankets as gowns, and graduation hats made of cut out manilla folders and tassels of toilet paper, the Jaguars made a grand entrance for their college graduation. Student Senate President Kristen Lindley gave an enlightening speech and encouraged all to make the most of every day - be glad you did, instead of wish you had.

The graduating seniors received diplomas from coach Keri Lambeth and turned their tassels to complete the ceremony before tossing their caps in the air to a booming round of applause. It was absolutely perfect!!

Graduating Seniors are: Receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration: Lindsey Nicole Ferguson*, Summa Cum Laude daughter of Tim & Terri Ferguson

Kristen Ann Lindley, Magna Cum Laude Daughter of Dee & Julie Lindley

Receiving a Bachelor of Science in Psychology: Samantha Sue Campagna Daughter of Tom Campagna & Brenda Campagna

Lauren Sheree Garza Daughter of Ricky & Linda Garza

This is a day that these four young ladies are sure to remember!

UHV is currently in a rain delay and will start at 1 p.m. against St. Gregory's University.
