Image July 10, 1900: RCA Victor patents its now-famous trademark "His Master's Voice," which shows a dog looking into the horn of a gramophone. An earlier test version of the logo showed the pooch with his head stuffed into the horn while pitifully kicking his hind legs. The words underneath read, "Dumb Dog." It should be noted that the RCA Victor company was owned by cats.
