Below, you can read an extensive list that details each federal stimulus award granted the Crossroads as of Oct. 30.

This list shows each agency that received money, and what that agency says it will do with the money. I've broken this down for you by county, by agency and then by award. Please keep in mind that some agencies failed to respond to repeated request for details.

We began Sunday a seven-part series detailing all the federal stimulus money awarded to the Crossroads as of Oct. 30. This week, we break down those awards with stories reporting on each sector that received funding: Highways and roads, housing, schools, municipal, other and private industry.

The following list should give you an even better picture of money approved for this region. I apologize for the rough formatting. This blog software has limitations.

  • Flounder: I appreciate your thoughts. Let me clarify a few points. 1) I requested on several occasions -- about 10 times -- meetings with both King Fisher and its parent company. Later, when I learned additional information, the Army Corps of Engineers also declined my requests for information. 2) That this company won't talk, in my opinion, just states the fact. I'm not accusing them of not talking; they won't talk. 3) I don't want to give up too much information here and now that will kick the legs out from my Saturday story. Suffice it to say I learned other information that makes this all more curious. That information will offer context to the basic facts I shared above. Thanks -- Gabe

  • Mike: You're right about the $9 million award for dredging. That sparse info is available in the federal database. Information about the $34 million award is unavailable in the database, although the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers helped us to track its purposes. The company, however, failed to discuss either award -- and in one case (regarding the $34 million award) didn't fill out any information regarding how the money is to be spent. My story on Saturday details the significance of all that. -- Gabe

  • Fatboy: We began trying to contact agencies in early November -- long before holiday breaks.

Legion357: Yes, that is correct. Neither King Fisher nor its parent company will talk. On Saturday, I'll report what I've found. I think you all will find that story interesting.

    Thanks -- Gabe
