For the next issue of The Magazine of the Golden Crescent, we are collecting nominations for hard-working public servants. Hopefully I can make clear the muddy water for this category of the Top 5.
This specific category is limited to non-elected officials and non-first responder personnel. For example, this includes people who are employees of public libraries, tax offices, TxDOT, department of motor vehicles, utilities offices, waste management, etc who work in the Golden Crescent.
I have received a handful of nominations for people who fall under the many branches of the city, county, state and federal positions that are filled here in the area. I have read some great things and look forward to meeting the five people selected by the team of editors in the coming weeks.
As part of the feature in the magazine, the top five will fill out a short questionnaire that will hopefully give our readers a glimpse of who the public servant is behind the scenes. I had a laugh compiling these questions, too, because they're fun.
