When drivers on a multi-lane road approach a vehicle on the side of the road. and nothing prevents it, why don't they pull over into the other lane? What would they do if someone trips or stumbles into their lane? What do you think their problem is?
Not paying attention? Don't care? Genetics? Stupidity? Hardheadedness (I ain't moving over, rain on 'em)? Lack of consideration or courtesy? They're just smelly orifices? Other?

Roy, passing on the right is generally legal in Texas. One of the few states that allows it.
April 27, 2009 at 10:59 a.m.And why do people get in the left lane and go slow and hold others up? I mean it's the law but you'll always find folks(old, young,Female, male, and foriners), doing their sunday drive in N bound 59 when I have to get to Houston fast. Passing on the right is against the law so blow you horn and get the finger. Hell I pass on the right and give them the finger
April 27, 2009 at 8:18 a.m.Dumb A$$'$ most likely, I was glad the law was passed to move to the other lane or slow down in the case of police, ems ect.
One curious thing tho, I was driving on Cal. Hwy 58 ( or 68, don't remember it's number right off, the one that goes from Nettles to Mojave CA.) anywho, it was a divided Hwy. two lanes west, two lanes east, no shoulders and big ditch in between the lanes.
I see all these vehicles parking on the right side of the road, west bound, lights on people out of there cars, so I slow down and change into the left lane since there was no vehicles or lights on the left side of the road.
BUT a car that had speed past my miles back was nose down in the ditch in the middle(next to the left lane, I was now in), I went by and YIKES, the rear of the car was almost sticking out in the left lane.
I was geez, all these people on the right side of the road and no lights or anything on the left side of the road where the trouble was at.
I said a prayer to myself that no people without lights where standing in the left lane when I went by.
