We all know that advertising keeps news companies afloat. But, do the too rapidly running down and up half page jewels on this web site have to make us sick or drive us into straight jackets? Is Rusty the only one that this is about to drive nuts? Cycling between comment or blog construction is cool but DURING isn't. Is there something we're doing to trigger this stuff?

RUKE: I'm afraid to say they've quit, they may hear me. I didn't have the particular cookie CJ suggested but dumped what seemed like about 800 others found. It might do all us us good to check periodically.
August 4, 2009 at 11:07 a.m.I recently had a problem with them, don't know why it just started since everyones been complaining for awhile. I tried to fix it by following CJs advice in the other thread but couldn't stop it. I turned it over to my resident computer genius (hubby) & it stumped him for awhile. Took him about 30 minutes to find it & get rid of it. He was surprised the Advocate would embed such an ad on its site.

They don't affect me quite the way the do Rusty, but yeah, they are very annoying. It does seem that an ad that will be ignored anyway could be made to not bounce the page.
